The world’s watch brands presented their most recent innovations at Baselworld last week. We have selected the most fascinating timepieces for you straight from the exhibition grounds in Basel.
It’s unique: Hublot Big Bang Unico Chronograph W6C CHF 26’900.-
This watch is powered by the Unico movement with a total of 330 components and assembled by hand. Its development took the Hublot watch company four entire years. The new version is now available in green ceramic. The screws are of 18-carat gold and add the perfect touch to the design. Hublot has limited this outstanding watch to just 100 pieces.
It’s iconic: The Chanel J12 CHF 5‘650.-
The J12 is famous as an icon of modern watchmaking. Equipped with the 12.1 calibre automatic movement, it has now been relaunched while retaining the original features that made it a legend. Just like its predecessor, the watch is available in black and white ceramic.
It's fast: Tag Heuer Carrera Kaliber 6 in blue CHF 4’200.-
Jack Heuer developed the Carrera in 1963 in honour of the famous Carrera Panamericana, considered the most dangerous automobile race in the world. The watch broke with traditional watchmaking convention and was the first chronograph designed especially for professional race-car drivers, although with its sleek, elegant and streamlined design it is also ideal to drive around town.
It's high-flying: Zenith Pilot Type Extra Special Silver CHF 8‘500.-
The Zenith watch manufacturer has created a wristwatch with a case made of silver and also chose the legendary Pilot Collection for it. Famed for its one-of-a-kind tradition and a wide selection of attractive models, the Pilot Collection offers the ideal platform for this new high-flyer, in an edition limited to just 250 watches.
It's trendy: Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Green Bronze CHF 4’100.-
The gorgeous design of this trendy watch from Bell & Ross is truly impressive. The striking green dial and the perfectly matched calfskin suede band combine perfectly and are complemented impeccably by the bronze-toned bezel. The watch features a mechanical movement with an automatic winding system.

Memoris, the very first chronograph watch ever made, is now lighting up the stars in its latest edition. This timekeeper is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the chronograph’s invention and limited to 28 pieces. Louis Moinet employed a special engraving technique, unparalleled in the history of watchmaking, to achieve the watch’s unique effect. Each star is carved individually, creating a starry sky with an unbelievably natural shine.
