75 Years of the MIDO Ocean Star

To mark its 75th anniversary, MIDO is honouring its Ocean Star collection with an accomplished reinterpretation. MIDO has created a modern and enhanced version of its Ocean Star based on the diver’s watch model from the 1960s. The watch combines all the attributes: it is equipped with an automatic Caliber 80 movement and a case that is waterproof up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m). Its unique strap makes it exceptionally comfortable to wear.

With a diameter of 40.5 mm and sapphire glass in a “glass box” construction, the Ocean Star case has been given a fantastic retro look, just like the models familiar from the 1940s. Perfect legibility is ensured by several Super LumiNova® accents on the bezel, indices and hands. A further highlight of the Ocean Star is the automatic movement with a power reserve of 80 hours.
