Vacheron Constantin COLLECTIONS
The recent Harmony collection is so imposing, it feels like it’s always been there. Its cushion shape, detailed right down to its most minute reflections, houses new manufacture calibers produced in the purest expression of Geneva Fine Watchmaking, as evidenced by its Poinçon certification. This neo-classical collectors’ piece comes in men’s and ladies’ versions.1 6
The curved barrel shape of the collection makes it unique. Most of the Malte men’s and ladies’ models are Poinçon de Genève certified, with finishes and complications of a rare elegance. This high-class watch offers an alternative take on classical watchmaking for those in search of difference – and distinction.2 6
The distinguished, sporty Overseas collection is for everyday wear by dynamic collectors. Decidedly contemporary, it offers a wide range of complications, all of them a positive invitation to travel. It is both sophisticated and functional – and is one of the few timepieces that sits just as well on any kind of strap: leather, rubber, steel, or gold.3 6
Drawing inspiration from the collections of the 1950s, Patrimony celebrates unsullied lines and the elegance of tradition. The Patrimony collection is an established benchmark in Geneva Fine Watchmaking, laying claim to a classicism that transcends fashions and generations.4 6
With over 260 years of history, Vacheron Constantin has defined the contours of traditional watchmaking with some of the finest creations in the classical register. Traditionnelle watches, be they simple or with complications, fully reflect Geneva Fine Watchmaking – an homage to all the craftsmanship and historic knowhow the illustrious manufacture stands for.5 6
Fiftysix is the manufacture’s new collection, unveiled in 2018. Drawing inspiration from a historic Vacheron Constantin piece, various models now offer a full calendar, a Moon Phase, or a power reserve indicator in addition to the date. Fiftysix is cosmopolitan, with a discreetly vintage charm, and is the manufacture’s first creation to be immediately available on release in steel, along with four references that already bear the coveted Poinçon de Genève seal.6 6
About Vacheron Constantin
The motto of Vacheron Constantin, founded in Geneva in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron, has found its way through successive generations: "Do better if possible, and that is always possible". The artisans of the famous watchmaker tirelessly pursue this goal in whatever they do, whether in creating the most sophisticated horological complications or through the limitless craftsmanship that has become the brand’s signature. This centuries-old and meticulously cultivated expertise is brilliantly illustrated by the Patrimony, Harmony, Overseas, Historiques, 1972, Métier d’Art and Quai de l’île collections. Each Vacheron Constantin piece is a paean to watchmaking craftsmanship raised to an art form.
Their motto has always been
"Do better if possible, and that is always possible."
