ESPACE CONNAISSEUR – Design: Different display techniques

When we were small, we learned to tell the time by following the big and little hands. Today, watch manufacturers are turning traditional codes upside down by challenging watch lovers to figure out the time on their new acquisition at a glance, but in doing so also make them instant followers of this new way of telling the time.

This revolution is shared by the Urwerk brand.

Whoever said that Felix Baumgartner from Urwerk was shy? Thanks to Gianfranco Ritschel, from the Fine Watchmaking Foundation, his shyness remained at the doors of the Geneva ESPACE CONNAISSEUR, and the audience was as enthralled by his natural manner, as by his watches.

These futuristic watches appeared pared down to essentials, and the audience loved their display techniques and the movements they revealed
