On 24 November 2011, the invited guests at LES AMBASSADEURS in Zürich were introduced to the art of engraving. Timm Delfs, watch specialist, explained to the interested audience how this form of decoration is used in the world of watch making. Subsequently, exquisite collectors’ pieces could be inspected from the watch manufacturers, Bovet, while two of its engravers demonstrated the precise workmanship required. The audience were even able to try their hand themselves, under careful instruction, in the intricate and incredible skill of engraving.
