About Vulcain
Founded in Le Locle by the Ditisheim brothers in 1858, the initial workshop subsequently gave rise to the Vulcain brand. Its remarkable complication watches earned numerous distinctions in several World Fairs. Yet the legendary reputation of Vulcain is essentially based on the development of the mechanical alarm in the famous Cricket movement. Its alarm watches have been worn by a number of heads of state, including Truman, Eisenhower and Nixon, thus enabling the brand to achieve its current status as "The Presidents’ Watch".
The watch for presidents.
